The Winelands Autumn Expo is set to debut in the picturesque town of Worcester on May 24th and 25th, 2024, showcasing the vibrant hospitality of the Cape Winelands District all under one roof. For the first time ever, visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the flavours, experiences, and celebrations that define this renowned region.
Nestled just off the N1, the splendid sports grounds of Montana High School will host this inaugural event, offering guests a convenient and captivating location to experience the best of the Winelands. As Autumn unfolds, the Winelands come alive with a symphony of flavours and experiences, making it the perfect season to explore this region.
The event is funded through the Cape Winelands District Municipality’s Local Economic Development and Tourism units and comes as a result of requests from the Agri-tourism sector. The CWDM has partnered with the Breede Valley Municipality (BVM) in order to host the event in the most central part of the Winelands, Worcester.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the talent and offers available in the Cape Winelands, states the Executive Mayor of the Cape Winelands, Ald. (Dr) Elna von Schlicht, “In our capacity as Regional Tourism Office, we are mandated to create an environment that promotes tourism, furthermore we know that after agriculture, tourism offers the most employment opportunities to the residents of the district. This Expo is an opportunity for all to experience the best of the Winelands all under one roof!”
From award-winning wines, beers, and spirits to delectable culinary delights, outdoor and camping equipment to olives and beskuit, the Expo invites attendees to indulge in the Winelands.
Visitors can savour menus from food trucks while enjoying live performances by Die Heuwels Fantastisies, Emo Adams, Taryn Lamb, Loufi, Eddie Strings, Michael, Drum Café and local artists, Michael and Forest Musician and more. Join in the festivities while kiddies are kept entertained at the supervised kids corner and the teens visit in the teen lounge.

Tickets to the Winelands Autumn Expo cost R80 per adult, children under 12 enter for free and can play in the supervised kids arena, while teens pay R40 per ticket, which gets them access to the teen lounge, making it an ideal family outing. The Expo is completely covered, ensuring a comfortable experience rain or shine. Secure parking is available for only R20 per vehicle with the purchase of entry tickets.
