Firefighters recognised for selfless service to the community

Drakenstein Municipality’s Fire, Rescue and Disaster Management played host to a celebration ceremony on Friday, 27 May 2022 to honour the area’s firefighters who selflessly serve the community at large. The event was also held to commemorate International Firefighters Day, which is celebrated annually on 4 May.

The day’s celebrations commenced with a motorcade and a drill squad, involving members from Drakenstein Municipality’s Fire Services, the Cape Winelands Fire Department, Breede Valley Fire Department, and Stellenbosch Fire Services.
