On Thursday, 18 July 2024, in honour of Madiba Day, our colleagues within the Community Development and Planning Services (CDPS) department were active in the Witzenberg municipal area.
Eight organisations in the Wolseley area were selected to receive donations, special gifts, and some pampering from our dedicated team.
Essential items such as pre-loved clothes and blankets, donated and collected by staff, were handed over to the organisations. Additionally, the Cape Winelands District Municipality (CWDM) donated food hampers, adult diapers, colouring-in books and tumblers to the identified organisations.
Despite the pouring rain and freezing temperatures, our colleagues showed up in large numbers to honour the legacy of Madiba. The smiles and appreciation from the beneficiaries more than overshadowed the gloomy weather of the day.
